The Abiquiú Dome was constructed in 2006 using 6th century Byzantine pendentive architecture, first implemented at Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. It now serves as a privately owned art gallery showcasing New Mexico artists. Owner Connie B. Burkhart, has been using the Dome as her studio show room for her metal designs since 2016. In 2022, Connie's daughter Becca Fisher joined the team as curator and manager of the Dome. Since then, an additional art gallery shop has been added to host even more artists and artisans. The Dome carries my iconic New Mexico note cards and dome paintings.
